Bristol ID Technologies

Bristol ID Technologies was founded in 1975 as Bristol Graphics Inc, a family-owned plastic card manufacturing business located in the town of Bristol, New York. In 1998, the company was acquired by a group of investors and re-named Bristol ID Technologies, and by 2004 had moved into a state-of-the-art facility in Lima, New York, just south of Rochester. They acquired Cards by Dart in 2008 and relocated the business from Dallas, Texas, to Lima. Today, Bristol ID continues to grow and prosper as a leader in the secured entry market, selling most of its products throughout North America.

In 2017, the company was awarded a $315,000 Community Development Block Grant from the Livingston County Economic Development Office to help fund the construction of an 8,000-square foot building expansion. This also assisted in the acquisition of high-volume machinery and equipment that allow for improved efficiency and a substantial increase in capacity and output. The project created 21 full-time jobs over two years, with 17 benefiting low and moderate-income persons, and is estimated to have injected more than $5.3 million into the local economy, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
