Visit LivCo Releases 2025 Spring and Summer Travel Guide

GENESEO, N.Y., March 27, 2025 – The vernal equinox marking the astronomical beginning of spring, arrived just last week. That makes now a great time to start planning your warm weather season with help from the new Spring and Summer Travel Guide from Visit LivCo.

With suggestions for a fun-filled day on Route 36, a special kids activity section, an article on the newest dining spots around the County, and much more, the free 52-page guide is packed with enough local activities and events to keep even the most active readers busy until fall returns, said Tourism Director Kelly Burns.

“It can feel a little overwhelming when you consider how many incredible events and things to do are available across our region during the spring and summer,” she said. “We’re trying to take some of the guesswork and stress out of people’s planning with our beautiful full-color guide. Every time we release one of these I hear from readers, some who’ve lived here their whole lives, that they discover something new to see or do. Dive in to the guide today and see why our slice of New York is such a fantastic place to be, no matter the season.”

This latest edition gives readers an inside look at the Abbey of the Genesee where Trappist monks bake 15,000 loaves of locally-loved Monk’s Bread every week. An interview with the Abbey’s Father Isaac Slater delves into the origins of the monks’ famous bread. He invites readers to come and take a tour or visit the monk’s gift shop for a unique taste of the Genesee Valley.

Page six of the guide highlights some of the County’s must-see upcoming events, including Dansville’s Dogwood Festival, Nunda Fundays, Caledonia Trout Festival, Hemlock “Little World’s” Fair, and the Avon Corn Festival. Scan the page’s QR code to find even more events and seasonal celebrations to explore.

Of course, no County summer guide would be complete without a look at the many outdoor recreation options offered by the “Grand Canyon of the East,” Letchworth State Park. The guide highlights several recommended trails found on the park’s “rustic” east side. From short beginner walks to challenging four-mile treks, readers will discover tips and tricks for exploring the park like a local.

The County’s guide comes in a digital version online or in physical copies available in select locations throughout the County.
