Visit LivCo Earns 2025 New York State Tourism Excellence Award
Visit LivCo, the official tourism promotion agency of Livingston County, is proud to announce it has earned the Excellence in Tourism Marketing Campaigns, Projects & Programs: Trails & Itineraries from the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA). The award celebrates the agency’s outstanding marketing of the LivCo Libation Loop, a curated trail map of the County’s thriving craft beverage scene.
Featuring local breweries, wineries, a cidery and the County’s first distillery, the LivCo Libation Loop supports local craft beverage makers while encouraging exploration of the broader Genesee River Valley region along the trail. The campaign’s statewide recognition is a direct result of the creativity and passion of the Visit LivCo team, said Acting Tourism Director Bill Bacon.
“Our tourism office deserves a lot of credit for their efforts in creating and expertly marketing the Libation Loop to bring attention to our craft beverage producers,” said Bacon. “This recognition reflects the strength of our local tourism economy and the dedication of our small business partners. We’re proud to promote experiences like this and showcase the unique character of Livingston County here and throughout the state.”
The award-winning campaign included custom maps made available at each destination on the Libation Loop, digital and printed itineraries, an in-person “Meet the Makers” event, and inclusion of the trail in the Visit LivCo smartphone app and seasonal destination guides.
Each year, the NYS Tourism Excellence Awards honor exceptional achievements by New York’s destination marketing organizations, attractions, and tourism professionals across a wide range of categories, including marketing, destination stewardship, and leadership. The competition is open to all tourism professionals and organizations throughout the state. The New York State Tourism Excellence Awards are determined through a competitive evaluation process led by a panel of impartial industry experts. The NYSTIA will celebrate honorees at a special ceremony and reception on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Lake George, New York.
