Armstrong Milling to Build New Facility in Livonia, New York

LIVONIA, NY — Canadian company Armstrong Milling has plans to open a new production facility in the Gateway Agribusiness Park, north of Lakeville in the town of Livonia. It will be the company’s first facility in the United States.

“We’ve been selling a substantial amount of product into the northeastern U.S. and we’ve come to the conclusion that we needed to establish a facility in the northeastern U.S.,” said Larry Murphy, one of the founders and Treasurer.

“Gateway Agribusiness Park has been on our radar for at least 10 years, probably longer,” said Director Bill Bacon, Livingston County Economic Development. “With the rail, it’s always been kind of an integral place for us to be able to say ‘It’s ready to go.’ We’ve got a lot of different ways to be able to serve companies. And now, we’ve got some things cooking up there.”

For Armstrong, building the Livonia facility is all about logistics. The closer they are to their market, the better they can service that market.
